On‑Call QC Technician (Temporary)

About the role

Cineverse is seeking on‑call temporary QC Technicians to review audio and video assets for sync, dropouts, and other quality issues. The role supports streaming platforms and physical media deliveries on short notice, often with as little as one day’s notice.

Key responsibilities

• Perform linear and master QC reviews of digital video/audio files to platform specifications (iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc.).
• Check metadata, packaging, and timed‑text formats (SCC, ITT) for multiple platforms.
• Identify and report quality errors such as sync issues, dropouts, and format problems.
• Submit detailed QC reports and verify XML documents prior to delivery.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of QC experience with digital video formats and physical media (DVD, Blu‑ray, UHD Blu‑ray).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal direction in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including AM, PM, and weekends.
• BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere for daily workflow.
• Familiarity with A/V formats such as Pro‑Res and MP4.
• Experience handling timed‑text formats (.scc.itt) and XML documentation.
• Understanding of video compression, codecs, and streaming platform specifications.
