Conformance Technician (On‑Call Temp)

About the role

Cineverse is seeking on‑call Temporary Conformance Technicians to edit audio, video and subtitle files to meet client and vendor specifications for streaming platforms. The role operates on short notice, with day and swing shifts available, and requires a hands‑on, problem‑solving attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret technical specifications quickly and apply them to media assets.
• Monitor and prioritize a high‑volume, time‑sensitive order queue.
• Validate video, audio, and timed‑text assets against client and internal standards.
• Document internal rejections and communicate with relevant teams.
• Verify integrity of deliverables and maintain action logs.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience working with digital video sources and encoding.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to fast‑paced changes.
• Comfortable with both Mac and PC operating systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Suite, Clipster, Transkoder, Cortex, DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience using transcoding utilities such as Compressor, AME, Episode Pro.
• Knowledge of subtitling specifications, audio sample rates, video frame rates, SMPTE timecode, and multichannel audio configurations (2.0, 5.1, 7.1, ATMOS).
• Understanding of industry format standards (PAL, NTSC, codecs, frame‑rate conversions, captions, SDH).
