About the role

As the Video Editor for Hot Smart Rich, you will shape long‑form conversations into engaging episodes that capture audience attention while preserving authenticity. Working closely with the Executive Producer, you will own the editing process from initial assembly to final delivery, ensuring each episode meets the show’s creative ambition.

Key responsibilities

• Own the edit of long‑form episodes from initial assembly through final delivery.
• Collaborate with the Executive Producer to define narrative, pacing, and structure.
• Transform conversations into compelling episodes, using music, sound design, graphics, and archival material.
• Identify opportunities to tighten or restructure content for stronger storytelling.
• Maintain high creative and technical standards across all episodes.
• Organise project files, manage version control, and ensure secure backup of media assets.
• Deliver final edits formatted for YouTube and other publishing platforms.
• Use audience performance data to continuously improve editing decisions.
• Stay current with editing techniques, technology, and AI tools to enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in media or content production (in‑house, agency, or freelance).
• Strong proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, especially Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge of long‑form and social‑media video specifications and trends.
• Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
