Network Technician

About the role

The Network Technician will support the district’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network performance and providing help‑desk assistance for end‑users. This position requires hands‑on experience with a variety of software, operating systems, and network environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
• Coordinate help‑desk services, including email support, for staff and students.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and application software across the network.
• Document network configurations and support procedures.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; AA degree or BA in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Five (5) years or more of recent, progressively responsible computer experience in a network environment.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to provide proof of education credentials and required documents.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer software and operating systems.
• Experience working in network environments.
• Help‑desk coordination and email support.
