Network Lead Engineer

About the role

The Network Lead Engineer will act as the Infrastructure Project Lead, driving network projects for Infosys’ Communications, Media and Technology unit. This role bridges technical teams and clients, ensuring timely delivery and high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project timelines, identifying and resolving resource gaps.
• Serve as liaison between technical teams and clients, conducting regular meetings and milestone reviews.
• Support production support operations, focusing on incident resolution, efficient deployments and smooth change implementation.
• Monitor deliverables across all project phases to meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Proactively manage risks, govern project scope and identify additional opportunities.

• Focus on balancing project economics with strategic priorities.

Required skills

• Excellent understanding of Cisco routers and switches.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN topologies and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and EIGRP.
• Experience with HSRP, GLBP and VRRP configurations.
• Skill in traffic manipulation using OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
• Configuration of VLANs, Layer‑3 switches, STP, PVST and RPVST+.
• Knowledge of datacenter networking concepts including VPC, VDC, VXLAN and fabric paths.
