About the role

Rivet is seeking an ML Researcher to advance computer vision and sensor‑fusion capabilities for AR/VR and edge‑deployed systems. You will combine cutting‑edge research with practical implementation, delivering prototypes that shape product direction.

Key responsibilities

• Implement proof‑of‑concepts in Python/C++ on embedded hardware to validate ML ideas.
• Research and prototype imaging, video processing, and sensor‑fusion pipelines for AR/VR applications.
• Optimize models for real‑time performance on mobile and embedded platforms using quantization, pruning, and other edge techniques.
• Design end‑to‑end ML pipelines with PyTorch and TensorFlow Lite and apply MLOps best practices for versioning and monitoring.

Required profile

• BS with 5+ years (or MS with 2+ years) of academic or industry experience in machine‑learning research or applied ML engineering, with shipped or published work.
• Demonstrated expertise in computer‑vision research, model optimization, and deployment on edge devices.
