About the role
Delaware County Christian School athletics is seeking an energetic and committed Middle School Girls Basketball Head Coach to begin the winter 2026‑2027 season. The coach will foster sportsmanship, safety, and the overall development of student‑athletes both on and off the court while representing the school’s Christian values.
Key responsibilities
- Run daily practices anytime between 3:00 pm‑7:00 pm.
- Develop rosters, create game plans, and oversee their execution.
- Drive the team van to practices and games as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Faith aligned with the school’s Statement of Faith.
- Ability to communicate a Christian view of athletics.
- Knowledge of basketball skills and techniques and ability to teach middle‑school athletes.
- Capability to plan and execute team practices.
- Ability to organize and coach the team on game days.
- High school, college or professional basketball playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
