Materials Planner – San Antonio

About the role

The Materials Planner is responsible for planning and regulating machine parts inventory to ensure daily production runs are uninterrupted. You will support Production Control and Manufacturing management by forecasting demand, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Senior Planner, Logistics Manager and 3PL partners to align part parameters with corporate inventory goals.
• Manage and coordinate a large network of suppliers and vendors, handling high volumes of parts daily.
• Monitor supplier performance for on‑time, in‑full deliveries to the plant and off‑site warehouse.
• Work with internal stakeholders to resolve supplier or material issues promptly.
• Continuously track delivery schedules to meet plant needs and support inventory right‑sizing initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of domestic or international logistics experience.
• At least 2 years managing a high number of suppliers/parts.
• 1 year experience as a planner in a Just‑In‑Time environment.
• Associate’s degree in business management or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (preferred).
• Ability to travel domestically up to 15%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• ERP experience – SAP.
