Market Research Consultant

About the role

The Market Research Consultant will lead all market research and business analysis activities for assigned pharmaceutical brands, supporting both immediate and multi‑year planning. This role requires deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify market research needs and develop multi‑year MR plans aligned with business objectives.
• Design, execute, and interpret primary research studies, delivering clear insights and recommendations.
• Analyze and report syndicated and secondary market data to measure performance and inform market understanding.
• Integrate survey insights and syndicated data to answer complex business questions and create compelling presentations.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure regulatory compliance, data protection, and high‑quality deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, paperwork, and authorization processes.
• Coordinate with Analytics & Insights colleagues to provide unified support for marketing clients and senior leadership.
• Lead without authority in a complex organization and influence product marketing plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in market research within a large product‑marketing corporation, preferably pharmaceutical.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical brand marketing research and managing regulatory/ethical requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• US‑based candidates able to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours and start immediately.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
