Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive improvements in production processes for a leading manufacturing company. The role involves designing, evaluating, and implementing efficient manufacturing methods while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Subject Matter Expert for PLC‑controlled equipment such as routers, waterjets, CNC machines, saws and robots.
• Design and conduct research programs to develop and optimise manufacturing processes, tooling and material usage.
• Calculate production, labour and material costs to support decision‑making and forecast future requirements.
• Prepare detailed product and process reports by analysing trends and data.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs, following manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain product and process databases, including writing computer programs and entering data.
• Lead the creation of an apprenticeship and internship programme for new or inexperienced employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing technology (or associate degree in an engineering discipline).
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.
• Familiarity with quality‑assurance techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and collaborate within a team.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental regulations.
