Make-Ready Technician – Humble, TX

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Make-Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartment units for new residents in the Humble, TX area. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, market‑ready units by performing a range of technical and mechanical tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements outlined in the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑cutting initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Document completed work and checklist items promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings, and complete required OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answering questions and addressing maintenance concerns efficiently.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on efficiency and quality.
