Make Ready Technician – Avana Woods

About the role

The Make Ready Technician ensures vacant apartments at Avana Woods meet Greystar’s quality standards before new residents move in. This hands‑on role involves completing repairs, finishing work, and preparing units for re‑leasing in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all required repairs and improvements according to the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair or replace it.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by fixing parts instead of replacing them and using materials efficiently.
• Complete documentation and checklists promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings and complete OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions and address maintenance complaints.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods and perform physical labor.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
• Commitment to safety procedures and documentation accuracy.
