Maintenance Technician (Vermeer)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Vermeer property in Washington. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Good organizational skills for tracking inventory and scheduling tasks.
• Willingness to work on‑site and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
