Maintenance Technician – Lago

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a garden‑style community of 304 units during its lease‑up phase. The role involves ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform a wide range of mechanical and technical tasks in a residential property setting.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
• Willingness to work a standard Monday‑Friday schedule with a rotating on‑call rotation.
• Commitment to follow safety standards, company policies, and local code requirements.
