Maintenance Technician – Harborview Property

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Harborview community in Los Angeles. The role focuses on keeping the building, grounds, and common areas in top condition, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and minor painting tasks.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience, preferably in residential or multifamily settings.
• HVAC certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Required skills

• HVAC systems knowledge (preferred).
• Preventive maintenance techniques.
