Maintenance Technician – Elan LoSo (Charlotte)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Elan LoSo property in Charlotte, NC. You will ensure that the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality during the lease‑up phase.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance work, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely and according to code.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures for residential units.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory management.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
