Maintenance Technician – Avana Parkway

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials and tools efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues in residential properties.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors or contractors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Commitment to safety protocols and cost‑effective maintenance practices.
