Maintenance Mechanic III – Food Manufacturing (Electrical & PLC)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic III to join our food manufacturing plant. The role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, ensuring reliable operation across all shifts. You will work hands‑on with electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (480V, 240V, 120V).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
• Repair conveyors, augers, mixers, pumps, drive systems, fillers, cappers, cookers, and coolers.
• Execute welding, torch cutting, and plasma cutting tasks.
• Maintain refrigeration systems, boilers, and water softeners.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and plant procedures.
• Perform lubrication, inspections, and general upkeep to minimize downtime.
• Operate forklifts and material‑handling equipment as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 + years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong background in AC/DC electrical systems (480V required).
• Proven experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC troubleshooting.
• Welding certification or demonstrable welding experience.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
• Capability to work all shifts and lift 50 lb regularly.
• Bilingualism is a plus; forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
