Maintenance Engineer (Spanish Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance initiatives at our fast‑growing food manufacturing and distribution plant. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement, and supporting capital projects in a dynamic, on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute maintenance and improvement plans across the processing plant.
• Approve and oversee capital projects, including equipment purchases and facility upgrades.
• Monitor maintenance budgets and control repair expenses.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance systems and procedures.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate timely reorders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Recommend and implement plant improvements in automation, security, and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and daily activity reports.
• Research and evaluate new technologies for production and facility enhancement.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in production or processing plant environments.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
• Mechanical engineering background (IMA, IME, or similar).
• Self‑directed with strong communication abilities.
• Leadership experience in maintenance or operations.

Required skills

• Proficient in reading and managing electrical diagrams.
• Strong Excel skills.
