Logistics Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to manage logistics planning for one or more value streams at our St. Joseph automotive brake plant. The role involves forecasting, supplier and customer planning, and inventory management to support production of brake components for major OEMs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain logistics plans, including demand forecasting, supplier releases and inventory targets.
• Communicate customer requirements, shutdowns, and demand changes to internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance, address past‑due status, capacity constraints and production interruptions.
• Provide logistical expertise for new product launches and engineering changes.
• Procure materials, track deliveries, expedite shipments and support supplier development.
• Lead and participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives to meet plant and logistics targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in customer and/or supplier planning.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
