Line Service Technician - Corporate Aircraft

About the role

Lewis Aeronautical, a Part 91 on-demand flight operation supporting business and personal travel for a San Antonio-based energy company, is hiring a Line Service Technician. The technician supports the safe, efficient and professional operation of the flight department by providing aircraft ground handling, servicing and logistical support, keeping company aircraft, ground support equipment, vehicles and hangar facilities clean, organized and ready for flight.

Key responsibilities

• Fuel and oil tank services as directed by the Maintenance Manager or flight crew
• Tow, reposition and launch aircraft in and out of the hangar
• Manage the fuel farm, meet airfield compliance requirements and order fuel
• Assist crew and passengers with luggage, transport and special requests
• Connect ground support equipment for air conditioning, heating and power
• Clean and service the aircraft galley, lavatories and interior/exterior, and supply supplies when needed
• Stand fire watch with a fire extinguisher when engines start
• Clean hangar floors and help set up and tear down events in the hangar or offsite locations
• Clean and fuel company and pool vehicles
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections and debrief with the flight crew after each flight

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 0-6 months of related experience
• Experience in aircraft towing, fueling and ground service
• Knowledge of safety practices for highly combustible and explosive fuels
• Willingness to travel multiple days to South Texas locations and offsite sites 25% of the time
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a valid U.S. passport
• Quick reaction and sound judgment under pressure, strong communication skills, courteous and friendly attitude

Required skills

• Fuel fire safety training certification preferred
• Proficient email skills
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping
