Licensed Practical Nurse – Pediatric Primary Care (Full‑Time)

About the role

Ochsner Health has been serving the community since 1942 and continues to innovate in patient care. This full‑time position provides direct care, including IV therapy, to pediatric patients in a primary‑care clinic under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, personalized care.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively use the nursing process for data gathering, planning, and evaluation of patient care.
• Provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria appropriate to pediatric ages.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and co‑workers to ensure a quality experience.
• Adapt to rapid changes in unit needs and manage personal professional development.
• Perform other related duties as required, including supervising ancillary nursing staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Current state license to practice as an LPN and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: dual licensure in Mississippi and Louisiana and IV therapy credentials.
