Legal Nurse Consultant (1099) – Remote

About the role

ARCHER Systems is seeking a 1099 Legal Nurse Consultant to join its remote team. You will work closely with Pre‑settlement and Claims Administration groups, applying clinical expertise to evaluate medical records for mass‑tort, pharmaceutical and product liability cases.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and summarize medical records for pre‑settlement and post‑settlement projects.
• Prepare chronologies, timelines, and medical summaries using case‑specific methodologies.
• Apply mass‑tort medical matrix criteria and develop clinical opinions on case validity and valuation.
• Transcribe, edit, and format physician reviews to meet client guidelines.
• Deliver final work products within contractual deadlines, ensuring all required components are included.
• Communicate findings effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Participate in data analysis, reporting processes, and continuous feedback cycles.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or equivalent medical license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or nursing diploma (required); BSN preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience reviewing medical records for legal or insurance contexts.
• Reliable Windows 11 PC (16 GB RAM, 5 GB free space) or MacBook Pro/Air (16 GB RAM, 5 GB free space).
• Cell phone with Microsoft Authenticator installed and a secure high‑speed internet connection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using healthcare charting systems.
• Strong ability to analyze, prioritize, and evaluate complex medical information.
