Legal Associate – Corporate & Project Finance (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Legal Associate to join our New York office, supporting complex corporate, financing and project transactions across the LATAM region. The role involves conducting due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and coordinating with local counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform legal due diligence on corporate, financing and project documents for acquisitions, developments and financing transactions.
• Prepare diligence reports and management board presentation materials.
• Negotiate terms and conditions in English and Spanish with counterparties and their counsel.
• Draft, review and comment on transaction agreements, security and collateral documents governed by local LATAM laws.
• Supervise local counsel in the creation, registration and perfection of security interests.

Required profile

• J.D. or equivalent law degree.
• License to practice civil law in at least one LATAM jurisdiction.
• Minimum five years of relevant legal experience in corporate, finance or project transactions.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
