Lecturer in Marketing (Open Rank)

About the role

The Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina is seeking an open‑rank Lecturer in Marketing to join its faculty beginning August 16, 2026. The full‑time position will involve teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in sales, product management and marketing strategy, and contributing to the Center for Sales and Marketing Leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to seven courses per academic year covering sales, product management and marketing strategy.
• Lead experiential learning projects and supervise student teams.
• Participate in Center for Sales and Marketing Leadership activities, including student events, partner outreach, internships and placement efforts.
• Maintain faculty qualifications within the AACSB framework.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Marketing, an MBA, or equivalent from an AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Significant professional experience in marketing and sales, such as product/brand management, new product development, strategic planning, or business development.
• Familiarity with current marketing trends and tools.
• Ability to translate research insights and analytics into actionable marketing strategies.
• Prior experience teaching at the university level or training early‑career professionals.
