About the role

Dale Howard Auto in Iowa Falls is seeking an experienced Lead Technician to guide a dynamic service team in a fast‑paced shop environment. The role focuses on maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring high‑quality repairs, and driving accountability through daily goals and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop technicians by providing technical guidance and support.
• Lead daily Fixed Operations huddles and monitor shop workflow and work‑in‑process goals.
• Ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with departmental processes.
• Review repair orders for accuracy, efficiency, and quality control before completion.
• Assist the Service & Parts Manager and Service Advisor in fair and efficient work distribution.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or automotive training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Maintains required state and manufacturer certifications.
• Physical ability to stand 6‑9 hours, lift up to 70 lb, and perform repetitive hand movements.

Required skills

• Automotive diagnostics and complex repair work.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in vehicle service.
• Ability to read technical manuals, repair orders, and computer‑based service information.
