Lead Access Coordinator – Disability Services

About the role

The Lead Access Coordinator provides case‑management guidance to the Access Coordinator team while overseeing disability services for specialized student populations. This professional, unclassified position also supports LSU Online by maintaining a dedicated caseload and acting as the staff liaison.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary case manager and liaison for shared services between LSU Online and Disability Services.
• Manage cases for designated specialized student populations.
• Advise students with disabilities on their rights and responsibilities under the ADA, Section 504, and university policies.
• Analyze disability documentation to determine eligibility and appropriate accommodations.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and assessing academic support services and accommodations.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure consistent, high‑quality disability services.

Required profile

• Experience advising students with disabilities and interpreting ADA and Section 504 regulations.
• Strong case‑management and documentation analysis abilities.
• Excellent collaboration skills with campus partners and online program staff.
• Commitment to enhancing support for specialized student populations.
