Lab & Pathology Visiting Student

About the role

The Lab & Pathology Visiting Student position provides hands‑on clinical rotation experience for students enrolled in the Arkansas State University Medical Technology (ASU MT) program. Working onsite at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), the student will support laboratory and pathology operations while gaining exposure to a university‑based health‑care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily laboratory and pathology activities under supervision.
• Follow all safety and infection‑control protocols, including vaccination requirements.
• Complete required documentation and accessioning tasks accurately.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to UAMS policies.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in the ASU Medical Technology program.
• Approved for clinical rotations at UAMS.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of the assignment.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 or holding an approved medical/religious exemption.
• Willingness to work onsite in Little Rock, AR.
