Kitchen Leader

About the role

Chipotle is seeking a Kitchen Leader to oversee food preparation, ensure quality, and maintain a safe, organized kitchen environment. You will train crew members, manage inventory, and uphold the company’s Food With Integrity philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Cook and prep menu items to order, following Chipotle’s kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste, inventory levels, and resolve quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house crew.
• Develop crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate effectively with crew and customers to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen and ensure equipment is in good repair.
• Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and apply FIFO inventory rotation.

Required profile

• Understanding of Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Previous restaurant experience.

Required skills

• Cooking, grilling, and sautéing techniques.
• Food safety and sanitation practices.
• Inventory management and waste monitoring.
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of MSDS documentation and FIFO inventory rotation.
