About the role
AVIR Health Group is looking for a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our residential care team. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality meals for residents, guests, and staff while adhering to strict health regulations and facility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a variety of cooking and food‑preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare standard and modified diets tailored to individual resident nutritional needs.
- Adjust recipes to meet required portion sizes and test new recipes for quality.
- Cook food in batches, ensuring consistent taste, appearance, and safety.
- Supervise and direct one or more workers assisting with meal preparation and service.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or health‑care food service environment is preferred.
- Prior office experience is a plus.
- Culinary or food‑service background preferred.
Required skills
- Culinary skills and knowledge of food‑preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and State Department of Health rules.
