Junior ROTC Instructor / Senior Army Instructor

About the role

The Manteca Unified School District is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Junior ROTC Instructor and Senior Army Instructor at Manteca High School. The position involves delivering the Junior ROTC program and providing leadership aligned with Army standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a Senior Army Instructor for the Junior ROTC program.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Recent separation or retirement (within the past five years) from the U.S. Army with a minimum of eight years of honorable service, meeting one of the following rank criteria:
  • Non‑commissioned officers (E‑8 to E‑9)
  • Commissioned or warrant officers (W‑1 to W‑5, O‑3 to O‑6)
  • Army National Guard or U.S. Army Reserve members holding the same rank categories.
• Letter of recommendation from current commander.
• Current DA Form 5016 or NGB Form 23A documenting retirement points.
• Letter of interest, résumé, copy of a valid Designated Subject ROTC credential or Junior ROTC Pre‑Instructor Qualification Memorandum (if applicable), and two recent employer recommendation letters.
