Jewelry Designer

About the role

Kate Spade New York is seeking a creative, detail‑driven Jewelry Designer to join its jewelry design team. You will translate seasonal concepts into finished pieces, collaborating closely with the Senior Design Director and cross‑functional partners to deliver collections that embody the brand’s playful and optimistic spirit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the jewelry design process from concept through sampling, aligned with the seasonal design calendar.
• Research global trends, materials, and techniques to keep the collection fresh and authentic.
• Create detailed CAD drawings and renderings using Illustrator and Photoshop for vendor communication.
• Develop and maintain spec sheets, technical packages, color cards, and finish references.
• Prepare mood boards and presentations for senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure a cohesive, commercially strong collection.
• Maintain organized material libraries, component archives, and reference samples.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Jewelry Design with a strong portfolio.
• Minimum 3 years of end‑to‑end jewelry design experience.
• Highly detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while preserving creative quality.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
