IT Support Specialist for College Campus

About the role

The institution seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical assistance to over 1,000 students, faculty, and staff. This role ensures smooth operation of classroom technology, network services, and user devices across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Administer smart‑podiums and troubleshoot audio‑visual equipment in lecture halls, labs, and classrooms.
• Respond to service tickets and provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and macOS workstations.
• Manage print server and printing management software.
• Administer faculty, staff, and student email listservs.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues, including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and TCP/IP.
• Provide technical support for medical simulation machines.
• Assist users with Canvas, clicker devices, exam platforms, Zoom, and other collaboration tools.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science preferred.
• At least 3 years of IT experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work collaboratively.
• Professionalism, diplomacy, and sound judgment.

Required skills

• Windows workstations/servers.
• Linux servers (preferred).
• macOS.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, LDAP, TCP/IP.
• Audio‑visual equipment and smart‑podium operation.
• Print server administration.
• Email listserv management.
• Zoom, Canvas, clicker devices, and medical simulation equipment.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range from $40,000 to $50,000 per year.
