IT Auditor / Senior IT Auditor

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking IT Auditors at both entry and senior levels to support the Board of Directors and enhance the Bank’s risk management, internal control, and governance processes. The role involves planning and executing operational, financial, project and information technology audits across the district.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep operational knowledge of multiple risk areas, establishing audit scope, objectives and risk‑based audit programs.
• Perform data‑driven audit work using automated tools, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and form overall audit opinions.
• Prepare audit reports, communicate findings to management, and follow up on remediation actions.
• Serve as the 4th District representative to Federal Reserve System audit forums and participate in special projects, peer reviews and training events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years (entry) or 5 years (senior) of relevant audit experience.
• Required certifications: Security Assurance for the Federal Reserve (SAFR), Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, IIA IT General Controls (or CISA).
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or green‑card holder status.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience using automated data‑analysis tools for audit testing.
