iOS Software Engineer (Mobile)

About the role

We are looking for an iOS engineer to help Compass build a mobile platform that makes the home buying or selling experience delightful. You will work with product, design and engineering teams to design, scope and deliver well‑defined features while maintaining high standards of code quality and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency.
• Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize work.
• Participate in team design reviews, code reviews and write comprehensive automated tests.
• Maintain documentation such as diagrams, service descriptions, decisions and runbooks.
• Contribute to engineering‑led initiatives that improve platform efficiency and reliability.
• Work in a startup‑like, agile environment, following Scrum/Agile practices.

Required profile

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of professional iOS development experience shipping apps to the App Store.
• Strong knowledge of iOS design patterns, CS fundamentals and attention to detail.
• Experience integrating with RESTful backend services.
• Ability to communicate clearly with product, design and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
