Inventory Technician – Warehouse & Network Equipment

About the role
The Inventory Technician is responsible for receiving, processing, and managing the district’s networking inventory across multiple warehouse locations. The role ensures accurate documentation for E‑Rate audits and supports both internal and external auditors.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process inventory shipments, packing or unpacking items as needed.
- Maintain high‑quality documentation for E‑Rate compliance and audit readiness.
- Label, decal, and store stock items using best‑practice storage methods.
- Sort items onto racks, prepare pallets for shipping, and operate warehouse equipment.
- Update electronic inventory locations in the District’s Hayes system during renovations, removals, or disposals.
- Assist auditors in locating networking equipment and manage the annual inventory audit process.
- Stay current with E‑Rate rules, policies, and eligible service lists.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of related experience in physical inventory, office equipment operation, and networking inventory.
- Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Required skills
- Forklift operation.
- Pallet jack operation.
- Use of other warehouse equipment.
- Inventory management software (Hayes system).
- Handling and labeling of networking equipment.
