Intermediate Design Architect

About the role

Bergen Street Studio for Architecture is seeking an Intermediate Design Architect to join our design‑focused practice in Brooklyn. You will work on a diverse portfolio ranging from private residences to public institutions, contributing to both conceptual design and detailed documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and produce high‑quality graphic presentations.
• Lead and motivate small project teams throughout the design process.
• Create detailed, coordinated construction documentation sets.
• Collaborate with consultants and clients to refine design solutions.
• Support construction administration when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–8 years of post‑graduate professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship, green‑card holder, or valid work visa.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to manage small project teams.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Rhino.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
