Home-to-School Transporter (District Transportation)

About the role

The District Transportation Department is seeking a reliable Home-to-School Transporter to safely move students between their homes and school sites. This position works an average, variable daily schedule and supports the district’s commitment to student safety and punctuality.

Key responsibilities

• Transport students safely between home and school locations.
• Maintain vehicle condition and adhere to district transportation policies.
• Keep accurate driving records and comply with random drug‑testing requirements.
• Ensure all safety certifications are current and applied during daily duties.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education).
• Experience driving students or groups of individuals.
• Preference will be given to internal candidates.
• Pre‑employment requirements at employee cost: TB clearance and fingerprinting.

Required skills

• Valid California Driver’s License.
• District‑insurable driving record.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Willingness to be placed in the random drug‑testing pool.
