Home Health Aide / Direct Care Worker

About the role

Maximum Care, Inc. is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides / Direct Care Workers to support elderly, disabled and individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes. You will provide safe, respectful, and dignified personal care and companionship while helping clients maintain independence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding and medication reminders.
• Prepare nutritious meals, shop for groceries and manage light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide transportation to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Offer companionship, conversation and emotional support to promote wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 lb and to stand, bend, kneel for extended periods.
• Demonstrated patience, compassion and respect for client dignity.

Required skills

• Basic caregiving techniques for personal hygiene and mobility assistance.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Effective communication and documentation.
