Graduate Assistant – Academic Advising

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support the Academic Advising office. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in student services while you pursue your graduate studies.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors and students, perform basic reception duties.
• Answer phones, direct calls, and take messages.
• Enter data and create documents using Microsoft Word and Excel as needed.
• Contact students flagged by the Academic Alert system and refer them to appropriate resources.
• Assist with registration and retention initiatives.
• Handle campus mail, deliver items, and run errands across campus.
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby, office, and work desk.

Required profile

• Completed a bachelor’s degree.
• Currently enrolled in an approved graduate degree program.
