Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Forward Deployed Engineers at Cinder work directly inside customers’ ecosystems, embedding with Trust & Safety, engineering and policy teams to deliver lasting impact on internet safety.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with customers’ Trust & Safety, engineering and policy teams to implement Cinder’s platform.
• Drive adoption of AI‑powered user‑protection measures across large internet platforms.
• Diagnose and solve safety challenges, delivering technical and strategic solutions.
• Serve as the subject‑matter expert for Cinder and for industry or government agencies.
• Address technical issues or coordinate with engineering and product teams for hand‑off.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to triage and prioritize feedback from thousands of users.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, solutions engineer, or similar role in a fast‑growth SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to work with enterprise‑level customers and navigate complex organizations.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a track record of taking initiative in unfamiliar situations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AI/LLM‑powered tools and AI agents.
• Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and AI safety workflows.
