Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

We're looking for an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to be the primary technical owner for building new capabilities with Catena's most important customers. In this role, you'll combine deep technical expertise with a genuine understanding of customer and business objectives — architecting, developing, and deploying software that helps enterprises put AI agents to work in the regulated financial system.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand technical and operational objectives, scope requirements, prototype solutions, and build them.
• Design, code, and launch features that enhance Catena's core platform, including APIs and SDKs for secure AI‑agent commerce.
• Build and configure agent identity and credentialing systems within customer environments, ensuring verification and auditability.
• Drive end‑to‑end product deployments: configuration, policy setup, testing, and troubleshooting across diverse technical stacks.
• Analyze customer codebases to surface friction points and identify improvement opportunities.
• Champion customer success by ensuring feedback is prioritized and acted upon.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional, hands‑on full‑stack development experience.
• Proven track record of shipping complex, production‑quality features from concept to launch.
• Excellent communicator comfortable with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Thrives in ambiguous environments with high ownership and urgency.
• Committed to building performant, reliable, and secure systems.

Required skills

• Full‑stack development with TypeScript, Python, Go (or similar languages).
• Experience with React for front‑end development.
• Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Ability to rapidly prototype while maintaining quality standards.
• Understanding of secure credentialing and policy‑driven execution for AI agents.
