Financial Controller – Accounting & Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of KINGS HAMMER SOCCER, LLC, a growing organization based in Covington, KY. The role will partner with the CFO and executive team to provide accurate financial reporting, cash‑flow visibility, and insight for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations.
• Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Develop KPI‑driven reporting and financial dashboards to support strategic decisions.
• Manage and improve the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and internal‑control compliance.
• Oversee company‑wide cash‑flow management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
• Create financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses for operational and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor working capital and recommend actions to optimize performance.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis with actionable recommendations.
• Manage and mentor accounting, payroll/HR, and accounts payable staff.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
• Support financial system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms on tax filings, reporting, and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing accounting operations and month‑end close processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
