Accountant II

About the role

Corpay is seeking an Accountant II to join its Accounting and Finance division within the Lodging line of business. Based in Covington, LA, you will help develop, test, and implement new systems, procedures, and controls while ensuring financial data is accurate and well‑documented.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and analyze revenue accounts.
• Reconcile and analyze the general ledger for multiple business units.
• Maintain accounting and financial records across the division.
• Support internal control documentation in line with Sarbanes‑Oxley and PCAOB standards.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and assist in policy revisions.
• Collaborate with business units to explain financial variances.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial and operational processes.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and reasoning abilities.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
