Financial Analyst – Boreal

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to act as a financial business partner for Boreal International, a Watsco subsidiary focused on HVAC/R distribution across Latin America and the Caribbean. The role supports Boreal’s financial operations and strategy while aligning with Gemaire’s shared services finance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, prepare accurate financial statements, and manage journal entries and reconciliations in the OneStream consolidation platform.
• Compile and present monthly P&L, balance sheet, and supporting schedules to meet reporting deadlines.
• Develop margin analysis by product line, geography, and customer segment; monitor inventory trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct variance analysis of forecasts versus actuals and recommend operational actions.
• Create ad‑hoc financial models and build dashboards as budgeting and forecasting tools evolve.
• Collaborate on CPM platform enhancements and adapt budgeting tools to Boreal’s business model.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Must be locally based in Doral, Florida.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with OneStream consolidation platform.
• Familiarity with financial reporting systems and CPM tools.
