Field Service Engineer – Nashville, TN

About the role

Join Philips as a Field Service Engineer in the Greater Nashville area, providing on‑site technical support for diagnostic imaging equipment. You will manage customer relationships, install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain complex medical devices while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by meeting entitlements, setting expectations, and adhering to arrival times.
• Install, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, and networking components of X‑ray, cardiovascular, cath‑lab, and image‑guided therapy systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance, field change orders, and installation documentation within Philips, state, and federal regulations.
• Travel up to 70% of the time across the region, with average daily drives of 1‑4 hours and occasional overnight stays.
• Participate in regional team initiatives, process improvements, and training gap identification.

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience in diagnostic imaging service or 3+ years in electromechanical fields; experience with X‑ray, cardiovascular, cath‑lab, or image‑guided therapy equipment preferred.
• Associate degree in electronics or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations, and to safely handle radiation sources with required PPE.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and networking theory applied to medical equipment.
• Proficiency with diagnostic imaging tools, test equipment, and safety procedures for radiation.
