Field Service Engineer – Detroit

About the role

Allow your passion for improving lives to shine in this role where you’ll be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites. You will work directly with hospitals and healthcare facilities, ensuring equipment reliability and supporting clinical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by meeting entitlements, setting expectations, and adhering to arrival times.
• Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment, including X‑ray, cardiovascular, cath lab, and image‑guided therapy systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance, field change orders, and installation documentation while complying with Philips, state, and federal regulations.
• Utilize tools, test equipment, and escalation processes to resolve electronic, mechanical, and networking issues promptly.
• Travel up to 70% of the time across the assigned geography, with occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience in a diagnostic imaging service environment or 3+ years in other electromechanical industries.
• Associate degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations.
• Willingness to safely work with radiation sources and wear required personal protective equipment.
