Feed Mill Associate – Bulk Load Out – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Feed Mill Associate works the 3rd shift (9:00 pm‑5:30 am, Monday‑Friday) loading feed trucks with the correct type and quantity of feed. The role includes daily sampling, inventory tracking, and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the feed bulk load‑out system and accurately weigh each truck.
• Load trucks with the required feed type and quantity.
• Communicate production schedules with team members to maximize efficiency.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly to reduce downtime.
• Take and record daily inventories and provide documentation for invoices and weight tickets.
• Follow all safety, GMP, and FSMA procedures.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not mandatory).
• Ability to work unsupervised, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Physical ability to lift 50‑100 lb, climb stairs and ladders, work in dusty, hot, and loud environments, and operate a pallet jack handling 2,000 lb.
• Strong work ethic, honesty, and reliability.

Required skills

• Intermediate math (proportions, percentages, volume calculations).
• Basic computer usage.
• Operation of feed bulk load‑out equipment.
• Operation of pallet jack for heavy loads.
• Experience with agricultural or farm equipment (preferred).
