Feed Mill Mixer/Operator – 1st Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Feed Mill Mixer/Operator to work the first shift (5:00 am‑1:30 pm, Monday‑Friday). The role involves mixing micro‑ingredients according to formulas, staging product, and ensuring clean, safe operations in a feed mill environment.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and route feed using batching controller, mixing and routing equipment, and destination bins according to formulas and schedule.
• Monitor equipment settings, adjust parameters, and perform preventive maintenance and cleaning.
• Complete production reports, logs and documentation accurately and orderly.
• Communicate batching schedules and production needs with team members to maximize efficiency.
• Perform routine housekeeping, ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, FSMA and other regulations, and report equipment malfunctions.
• Help prevent product loss and ensure trucks leave empty.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math (proportions, percentages, volume, etc.).
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to read and write legibly.
• Self‑motivated, able to work unsupervised.
• Strong work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Required skills

• Operation of batching controller systems.
• Mixing equipment operation.
• Preventive maintenance of feed‑mill machinery.
• Basic computer usage for reporting and documentation.
