Facility Service Technician – Mechanical

About the role

The Facility Service Technician – Mechanical works as an embedded member of the client’s data‑center facilities team, providing day‑to‑day mechanical support to ensure reliable operation of cooling and related systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment such as centrifugal chillers, pumps, fans, dry coolers, cooling towers and condensers.
• Operate, monitor and document performance of CRAHs, CRACs, AHUs, fan walls and fan coils.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VRF systems, packaged rooftop units (RTUs) and DX compressor systems.
• Manage refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA Section 608 and site EHS protocols.
• Navigate and document Building Automation System (BAS) / Building Management System (BMS) platforms, preferably Tridium Niagara.
• Support VFD programming verification, preventive maintenance and root‑cause analysis of mechanical failures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience in a data‑center or mission‑critical environment.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling certification.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics and sequence‑of‑operations documents.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, work in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
